Carol Walker presents the 2024 Heritage Award to Elizabeth Daly

The Civil War Round Table of Fredericksburg Heritage Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations for their work in the preservation of local Civil War era buildings, objects, battlefields and history.

Categories:

Teacher - To an outstanding teacher of middle or high school history in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area.

Organization - To a local historical organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the preservation and interpretation of the area’s Civil War history.

Individual - To an individual in recognition of outstanding verbal, archival, or media interpretation work, for an outstanding paper, publication, or research project contributing to the knowledge of Virginia in the Civil War era.

2017 - Ladies Memorial Association and Friends of Wilderness Battlefield

2018 - Ladies Memorial Association and Central Virginia Battlefield Trust

2019 & 2020 - No awards due to COVID

2022 - John Hennessy

2023 - Jane Conner and John Grant Griffiths

2024 - Elizabeth Daly
