This Story Expires on: 02/07/19

Friday, February 1, 2019 @ 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Join Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation, Stratford Hall for the annual Lee Symposium lecture series featuring James I. "Bud" Robertson, Jr., "Robert E. Lee and the Search for Peace." Doors open at 6:30pm, lecture begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Headquarters Theater in Fredericksburg, VA. Free to the public!

Through the generosity of the Lee-Jackson Educational Foundation, Stratford Hall presents this yearly lecture as part of the Reading Lee program. Each year, the lecture features nationally recognized authors that focus on their research and insights into the military, civilian and character of Robert E. Lee.

Famed Civil War historian James Robertson believes that Robert E. Lee's greatest fame lies not on the battlefield but as a reconciliator in the last five years of his life. The United States enjoyed a rebirth, as much from Lee's efforts as from those of anyone else.
